What's Happening This Month?

WINTER BRINGS RAIN, WIND AND… FOOD TO WARM THE HEART

While winter has bared its teeth at times with plenty of rain and some ferocious winds, the atmosphere at Carrington Place is cosy and warm, with the open hearth oven providing plenty of atmosphere and the kitchen team using the very same oven to produce some fabulous winter food.

The winter menu continues to prove extremely popular but regular visitors are not spoilt for choice with the specials board offering new and exciting dishes every day. Onion soup is a must for this time of the year and you will find it on the new menu complete with tarragon and toasted cheese croutons, perfect to take the chill out of the bones. If pasta is more your thing, the roast pumpkin and feta ravioli with ginger chive cream should do the trick or maybe the handmade gnocchi with rock squid, wood mushrooms and olive oil?

NEW FACE AT CARRINGTON PLACE

Next time you visit us you may notice a new face front of house. Well known in the local hospitality industry, we are very pleased to announce that Stephen Cross has joined our team, bringing with him a wealth of experience. Steve is now overseeing our front of house operation and will be happy to help you with everything from making a choice from our new wine list to planning your next function. Please make yourself known to Steve the next time you call in.

TAPAS & TAP BEER

We have recently added tap beer to our drink selection in the front bar offering customers a selection of draught beers. It is proving a popular mix with the tapas menu, now available 7 days for lunch and in the evening from Tuesday to Saturday. We are also one of a very few establishments in the region serving the famous Peroni beer on tap. To celebrate this fine Italian beer we are offering, for a limited time, a Peroni and a Pizza for just $12!

WINERY OF THE MONTH

In addition to the excellent selection of vintage Drayton Family wines on our new wine list, the famous Hunter Valley winery is also our winery of the month. Try the Drayton Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon for just $27 per bottle or $6 per glass!

BOOK EARLY FOR HIGH TEA

High Tea at Carrington place continues to prove extremely popular with regulars and visitors. “Carrington” High Tea is on Sundays from 12.30.
